There are none.

Your question needs to be completed with proposed use. Without the use model you can't proceed. And then you learn about "the package." Having the best CPU won't help you if you wanted HDMI ports and the package didn't have it.

A complicated question

In terms of absolute performance, there's only one: the 2GHz Core i7 Extreme. It's quad-core and performs on par with a good (not great) desktop.

However... it's also power hungry. You won't find it in anything smaller than a chunky, expensive laptop meant as a desktop replacement.

Truthfully, the best is the fastest you can get with the size and battery life you want. I want something reasonably thin and with long life, so for now I have a Core 2 Duo. Early next year you'll see dual-core Core i7 chips that can fit in thin notebooks and will still last on battery; to me, that should be the best as it'll offer a good balance of speed and longevity.
