Question

Best laptop for Editing video & photos. Also graphic design?

Jul 15, 2016 10:07AM PDT

I am looking to getting back into graphic design and also would like to start video editing and photo editing? Not sure what to get.
Alienware?
ASUS?
Any thoughts on which would be the best to get for under $2,000.00?

I'd look again at Apple MacBook Pros.

But video work is quite demanding. My son does that on a desktop but presents on a tablet.

I agree about a desktop. Since I'm in need of a laptop figure I would do that first.

your graphic design is more 2D or 3D? it may also depend on what softwares you're using. if you're using MAYA, you may as well think about Quadro.

13, 15 or 17 allow you to connect to an external graphics amplifier which you can use a desktop GPU of your choice.
