My number pad is...

Some USB addon thing. I use that feature so infrequently that I can't say I'd saddle my decision to "must have" this. Also as a Game Developer it would be unwise to make a game require this so try to do without.

What I'd like?

That MacBook Pro of the screen size you noted. It has a top end video system and can boot XP or Vista too. Apple has a free developer toolkit so you can dive in and maybe pick up a second market for your game.

Toshiba, Dell and others have nice Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 256MB 3D Video chipset systems so the list is a little long to type in here. Maybe you can toss out what you can get and what makes your list here for others to comment on.

Some of the higher end VoodooPC systems for one idea, assuming price isn't an issue and if price is an issue please state the upper threshold of the budget as some boutiques would be my suggestion on where to get a high performance laptop. I do think I'd likely wait to see when the DX 10 cards for laptops are coming out as this would be something I'd want to have in a new laptop if I were looking today.

Just a couple of thoughts,

(Happy owner of a VoodooPC desktop, fwiw)

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
