Question

Best laptop

Oct 2, 2015 10:39AM PDT

I'm looking to buy a laptop/chromebook with the sole purpose of working remotely. I'll be using VMware to remotely access my work computer.
Can anyone suggest a good value option? Thanks.

Are you sure a chromebook will do?

I doubt if you can install VMware on a chromebook. That leaves you with a Windows, Mac or Linux laptop.

Important things when choosing a laptop are:
- screensize
- weight (if you have to carry it around)
- keyboard
- if it has a matte or glossy screen

Any 8GB laptop with a screensize, weight, keyboard and screen that suits you will be OK. Now start looking around in your nearest laptop shop.

I know I've seen VMWare on Apple's Mac OS X.
