No, but seriously. GAIM has some pretty nifty provisions for that kind
of stuff (a system tray icon plugin, transparency, etc.), and I use it
at home for Yahoo! and MSN (don't have any jabber accounts but the one
at the office). I think GAIM is just what you need. Download's a bit
bulky though.

I use exodus and it seems to be ok. I am going to try GAIM out.
Hi.
Up untill now I was using ICQ for my instant messaging. I found out about Jabber today which appears to be the most advanced and totaly open IM standard. There are a lot of clients for it and I wonder which one you think is the best. Currently I'm using Exodus. Is there anything even better?
