best iPod car audio

Apr 28, 2006 5:26PM PDT

I just got my first iPod and have been having trouble finding out which is the better sounding and reliable accesory to get for my car, an FM transmitter, or cassette adapter? The FM transmitter seems like the easy choice (somethin like an iTrip) since there wont be wires all over my car, but i keep hearing about the signal sometimes (not very often but sometimes) cutting out slightly. With cassette adapter, im not sure how long it would last before it finally poops out. The most important factor of sound quality on both is the biggest quality I am looking for. Reviews on cnet are kinda sketchy since u always see some people who absolutely love a car accessory and others who dont, there is no consistency, so i am asking anyone who reads this and knows their facts to help me do whats best for my drive to work and around the best sounding iPod car accesory.
