Best Inkjet - Infrequent Use

Mar 24, 2006 1:04AM PST

I'm currently looking to purchase a new inkjet printer. My past two (Lexmark and Epson) constantly dried out due to lack of use. I realize that my best solution would be a laser but I'd really like color if possible (and I'm not willing to shell out the big bucks for a color laser at this time).

From what I've read, the HP's (built in print head) and Canon Pixmas sound like they handle infrequent use the best but it's hard finding a definite answer. Any suggestions as to which models/brands handle this the best?

I don't know who's tested this.

I will comment I like my HP officejet k550. Seems very trouble free.

Infrequent usage is the bane of inkjet printers. You pretty much discovered that HP and Canon offer the best solutions but again if you don't use it don't expect any better than [ast experience. So, at least try a daily or weekly print output in oder to make it all better in the long run.

I have had a variety of printers from all the big companies but I will always buy Canon. Their printers are very fast and the print quality is amazing!!1
