It's not the app that matters, it's the quality of the organisation behind it. Generally good are booking.com or expedia.com.

I would recommend to use Booking or Expedia. Lots of reviews and great prices overall

Hello Chloejones, You are right. There are so many apps available in the market.
The best app are following Priceline.
Hotels.com.
HotelsCombined.
Expedia (which owns Travelocity and Orbitz)
Agoda.
TripAdvisor.
Trivago.
Google.

No reliable hotel booking app

Most of the hotel booking app are unscrupulous. In the absence of a regulatory authority, all kind of tricks are played to trap gullible travellers. I have following bad experiences with hotel booking apps and this includes some of the leading apps

1. The site shows hotel room with breakfast but as soon as you confirm booking you get a confirmation of the booking of room without breakfast
2. Recently, I booked a hotel in Bangkok which said free pickup and drop. On reaching at the airport I waited for almost 30 minutes and could not find a pickup inspite of my making a request. On reaching the hotel by taxi I complained about it and was given a rude reply that this is not a five star hotel. I am a 80 years old person and I was made to carry my baggage to the room. The elevator was on first floor
3. Most of the time they put only very positive reviews and I suspect that some of them are written by the hotel only
4. Once I found no room available in a hotel in Jordon inspite of my having a confirmation and on making a complaint to the booking agency I was just told sorry

it all depends on the place and time and according to the price you can select, but in my opinion, Oyo provides best well-furnished rooms.
