Hi guys, ever since the B.O.L. episode in which veronica freaked out on Tom because he maxed out his headphones on his ipod which on the subway, i been feeling kinda quilty also. Sooo.. for the last 2 weeks i've been searching for a great set of headphones. I'd really like to get the SHURE ones, but they're too expensive, i don't want to pay the same price for a set of headphones as i did for my own ipod =S. SoOoOo.. if anyone has any recommendations for some great headphones between 30-60 bucks, that would be great!! Also, i'm more of an ear-bud kinda guy.. so i'd perfer those better. however, it you've got an amazing set of earmuffs, let me know and i'll probably consider it.

ciao for now DAN FROM T.O.

THANKS GUYS!

Hey Dan,

I like the in-the-ear kind of earbuds, similar to the Shure ones, but don't have $300 to drop on them.

I tried the Koss version (from Radio Shack) - about $25 I believe, and they were good for a while. They come with three different size fittings, small, regular and what can only be described as 'giant' fittings. Regardless, I blew the right earbud after about 6 months.

Now, to be clear, I like music, but I wasn't cranking these things all the way up. I think they were just crappy.

I now have some JVC ones I bought at Future Shop. Here's the link: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10062827&catid=

They're $50 (Canadian), so they're definitely more expensive, but haven't failed me yet. Sound quality is very good as well. Good luck.

I'm an earbud guy as well, and I'm 36 now so I'm sure my hearing is half gone. I'm curious which ones you eventually go with because I'm looking for a nice pair of noise cancelling ear buds. For me, it's mostly listening to podcasts and music while I code at work and the occasional walk with my iPaq.
