Is all about the Benchmarks
Those are the Updated AGP graphics card benchmarks. If you scroll down you will see how these cards performed in the various tests (i.e 3D Mark 2005, Unreal Tournament 2004, etc.) From those tests you can get a good idea which card performs better. Hint: Its the ATI Radeon 9800 by alot.

For even more performance I would go for the ATI Radeon 9800 PRO. With that card you can pretty much play any game out there now decently. You can get a good for under $130 at Newegg.com.

Happy shopping.

the 9800Pro is having issues with some games such as FarCry due to it's lack of HDR and other features (all IQ related, which is the only issue ATi ever has, they always have power, it's just that they don't use it right/it doesn't have many features behind it)

i'd suggest a GeForce 6600GT, basically the same power, about $30 more, and you have none of the IQ related issues
