Best Free Virus Scan?

by qqqq88 / August 21, 2009 1:28 AM PDT

What is the best free virus scan in terms of detection rates? I've been using Microsoft free online safety scanner but I'm curious as to how good it is with detection rates versus the other free ones out there.

thank you for the info, I assume operating your computer behind a router at home would help a lot wouldn't it?

No that wouldn't help.

Any current version of any OS known doesn't have an issue with that type of connection. However there is a lot of misconceptions out there. Such as "this will protect you."

don't you have any anti virus installed in your computer
if you want best virus detection free av,try avira
better than avast and avg

you need to have an anti virus installed
don't just use the online scanner

kaspersky provide better online scanner

to add security to your system, install winpatrol
it will help detect changes made by malware that avira miss

and yes, anti virus detection test is not reliable but you can see the common one who always top of the table
so,it can be the only reason you install it

we cannot find the perfect av but we can find the most reliable ones

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
