This sounds like the regular Windows Server or other server job. If you want to go with Linux then that should be fine too. I haven't seen a NAS do this sort of work at that scale.
Nothing new here. Same old tasks, same answers.
Please help me with this issue
I have aprox 2 TB of files that need to be shared to aproximatelly 40 computers in about 4 locations (half of them in one place, the rest in the other 3). The access must follow a personalised share schema with every user having full access to certain folders/files, only view others and have no access to some.
How can this be done with the smallest financial investment and considering that I’m in networking but don’t have advanced knowledge of Linux.
Any NAS device able to do that? How about AWS/Azure?
Any advice on the backup side is also very appreciated.
Thank you very much.
