Best Earbuds

Dec 4, 2008 3:44PM PST

I'm looking for earbuds for everyday use as well as gym. I have used etymotic headphones and I can hear every movement I make which I dislike. I have used Shures and I dislike the cord. Because of the angle of the jacket it tends to bend back and forth and my cord frayed. I also hate that it comes in two pieces. I like the v moda but would like a bit more quality. Three have broken on me because of the earbuds cheap construction. Klipsch seem too expensive. Are the philips she-9850 a good option? Other recommedations?

SkullCandy

My personal favorite earbuds are SkullCandy's earbuds. They cost about $40 but I plugged them into my little nexxtec portable radio and was blown away! The sound is amazing and really clear! If you're in Canada you can get them at the source and for $10 more you can get three replacements over 3 years if you bring them in broken if you buy at the source. SkullCandy has earbuds but also great stereo bass headphones and personally the SkullCrushers are definatly on my list this year!

In the States I'm sure radio shack has them or you can go to scullcandy.com

Good luck finding good ones that fit your life!

MAudio

I use the high end sure studio monitoring buds, because I have them, but when my brother recently bought a set, I recommended the Maudio brand. They have a few options, we like the bass enhanced because 1)normally small buds lack bass. 2) mp3's are so compressed they lose bottom end. 3) We both like hard/heavy music and the low end is necessary. But overall, Maudio is a great company with great product. I was a music retailer in one of the top 25 companies nationwide for over 10 years. The're worth the $.
