Question

Best DSL router for large home

Aug 2, 2016 1:44PM PDT

We have an old Westell VersaLink 327W router that Verizon supplied years ago when we first got a DSL connection through Verizon. We would like to update our router and improve wifi coverage throughout our home and deck. What router would be best for our DSL connection? (We're not going to have ethernet installed any time soon.) We have three laptops and a TV with a Roku connection--also live in a high-density neighborhood with lots of wifi activity.

Ethernet vs. DSL
Aug 2, 2016 7:54PM PDT

Not very tech savvy, but isn't DSL different from an ethernet connection? As I mentioned in my query, we want something that will hook up to our existing DSL--an update of our router. The cnet.com article seems perfect for someone with ethernet connectivity. Not so perfect for us. But maybe I'm not understanding...?
