Best/cost effective 1 gig flash player

Aug 1, 2005 9:51AM PDT

I was wondering what is the best 1 gig flash player for its price. And it should include fm radio. Ive checked out the creative muvo, tx, and nano and nano plus but i know this site rated the sandisk player very high. Any suggestions on what to get? If not i will probably get the nano plus

Thanks

go for the zen nano plus

i just got one yesterday at circuit city for 149.99 because although i know i coulda got it for maybe 15 dollars cheaper, i wanted to get it faster. im very pleased with it so far. i got the dark blue 1GB model. it has more features than you will probably use, and is very easy to use. i mastered the menus and operations within hours. there are only a few things i see wrong with it. the battery door looks like it might easily break, but i use the case so it doesnt matter. there is audible noise when the backlight is on, so i turn it off during the day, and have it on for 3 secs at night. it doesnt bother me at all. also the body is easily scratchable, which is probably partly caused by the case. if you dont care about scratches, unlike me, that shouldnt be a problem. things get scratched when used anyways.

id go for the nano unless you can find something better. the sandisks cost a little more, and i have no experience with them.

Thanks!..yeah ive heard about the backlight noise thing but i dont plan to have it on when i listenning to music really..except when i want to change songs..so no big deal. Im not sure what you mean by it scratches easy. Were you saying that the case that it comes with scratches the player itself, or without the case it scratches easy, or the case doesnt protect well enough. Scratches arent to big an issue for me but if the case scratches the player thats odd. Thanks for the info, still want to get the nano and ill prob get it from circuit city too or some other physical retail store cuz since i built my computer last week ive ordered tons (a few) things online and have had a few problems..even with newegg..but ne ways thanks!
