Question

Best computer to use for marketing, accounting,& 3D modeling

Apr 3, 2017 8:33AM PDT

Im just doing some research on new machinery.
I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on which type of computer would best for my business. (I'm not really looking by brand, but rather things like the memory and up-to-date functioning of the machine itself.)

I run a custom cabinet and woodworking business. So I'm using this thing for CAD software, as well as Photoshop/A.I., and the standard accounting and document production programs that accompany any small business.. So all-in-all.. Im looking for a "do-everything" computer that I can at least get 5 years out of.. if possible..

Im currently using a 2014 iMac with only 8gb of RAM, and I find I over power it with task quite often.. limiting the multi tasking i require.

If you're looking for something like that in a desktop or laptop , you should be looking at some top end gaming computers .
As for makes or models , maybe a Pro will do a drive by and see this question ...

Only 8GB RAM?

We have programmers and more on that and it's all good. HOWEVER we moved them to SSD to remove delays as they push the boundaries of their PC.

To get more years out of what you have, did you install an SSD?
