I would think that the vibration, bumps and shakes would produce a video that would be hard to watch.
It could easily cause people who are watching to have motion sickness.
Even a video that is hand held is difficult to watch.
Have you seen such a video?
Can you borrow a camera and see the results before you buy a camera for that purpose?
..
I drive my car on various road courses in high performance driving schools and would like to record 20-30 min. HD video clips to analyse my driving and to show my friends. What compact or sub-compact cameras do members who have recorded in-car video recommend? I would prefer to use a general purpose camera rather than a camera designed specifically for in-car use so I can use it elsewhere as a regular camera. I will mount the camera between the front seats on a bracket manufactured by Cruise Cam that bolts to the passenger seat headrest posts. Some features I already know I require are 720 or 1080 movie mode at 30 or 60 fps, image stabilization, wide angle lens, SD or SDHC memory card slot, and a standard tripod mounting point.
