Best cell phone provider?

by tonya1967 / January 24, 2006 5:52 AM PST

I currently have Verizon, but my contract will be up in a couple of months. I was wondering how Verizon compares to other cell phone providers.

Best cell phone provider

I personally have never had Verizon I have only had Cingular and honestly i work for Cingular. and im not saying they are the best, but they are pretty good. But honestly i work in Tech support and do know how cell phone work, It really depends on where you live. A more populated area has much better service than a less populated area. Cell phone company but up more towers. In the most populated areas, Cingular has GSM service which is the same technology as t-mobile and sprint as well as most of world. Verizon however has CDMA service which uses different type of tecnology. All cell phone companys say they are the best your best bet is to ask people in you area.

i recently got verizon. i currently have verizon, cingular and t-mobile .
what are you looking for feature-wise ?? do you want bluetooth, camera, music player, full qwerty keyboard.... ??

verizon offers the best signal. it also hs an array of features including their EV-DO 3G service which allows you to watch video and search the web at broadband speeds.

cingular offers the best looking phones.they have good signal as well. pricing is great too .

t-mobile offers the sidekick, if youre interested in a stylish smartphone with features gallore.

nevertheless, these companies are different in their own ways. carrier's signal varies for different parts of the country.
do some research on each carrier and see hwat features that are most important to you and go from there

Straight Talk
by numst / March 18, 2011 11:11 AM PDT

I was with verizon for like 20yrs,and i heard about straight talk. I am currently using straight talk now. I runs off the verizon towers,At&t and Tmobile towers. You get unlimited talk, text and web, for $45.00 a month. no contract, they dont have a lot of smart phones to offer but its getting better. I really like thier service. and you can also try page plus that way you can keep your verizon phone and just port your number over... anything beats a contract and having to pay for the web. so give them a try and let me know how you like it.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
