Best camcorder to record race cars & baseball swings?

Can someone give me some recommendations for a camcorder with good video quality. I will be using it to record my son's fast moving race car and baseball swing. I will be recording during the day, & alot of night time shooting with the track lit up with the bright field lights. I would like something with image stabilization for under $700. I will be using it with a baseball motion software that requires minidv & no high definition. Thanks!

Try looking at the Camcorders Forum Sticky. You can find some very helpful info there. One other thing: Your next post should include a list of camcorders you are looking into.
