Best Camcorder for Air Shows.
by Snapper6 / September 12, 2010 7:54 AM PDT

I am not fully conversant with the latest camcorders on the market, however, our experience of airshows, suggests it is not all about the camcorder. There is a need for a good long lens/zoom, but this has the difficulty of creating an unstable image (shakey) so any form of stabilisation of image would be useful. Also consider a stable, not flimsey tripod with a a good pan & tilt head or similar means of holding the camcorder steady. Next weekend we return to Air shows after a couple of years break, Kemble/Cotswold for Battle of Britain show.
