Best Calibration / Settings for Samsung LNS 4095d. Help pls!

Dec 17, 2008 2:56AM PST

Hey Guys,

Let me start by saying that I love this tv... It's my baby..
I wipe it with the cloth that comes with it almost daily and
kiss it goodnight.. Haha!

However I feel like I'm not getting the best picture I could.
Does anyone know what the best calibration or settings are
for this model?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thx!!!

Calibrations...
Dec 17, 2008 6:51AM PST

fr0des,

Thanks for the kind words regarding our sets. People say they love our televisions, but this is probably the best review I've ever read.

Calibrations depend on the room design, amount of light and personal preference. You might try to google your model number and the word "calibration settings" to see if there are people who have posted their settings.

If you want to do your own settings, start with the "Standard" picture settings and fine tune it that way. Of course, if anyone wants to jump in with their settings, feel free to do so!

Choices grayed out
Dec 24, 2008 3:30AM PST

I have the PN50A650. When I try to make changes in a picture mode, I find the settings all grayed out - unavailable. How do I access the settings? What am I doing wrong?

Input source....

malama makena,

What picture setting are you starting with? Dynamic? Standard? Custom?

Menu items will grey if:

1. The input doesn't apply (ie: HD functionality on a SD input)
2. It is over-ridden by another technology (DNIe "on")
3. The input is assigned to Game Mode (overrides functionality).
