Question

Best budget laptop?

Feb 3, 2015 6:04AM PST

Hi,
Ive just been told my Dell Studio 1558 is going to cost around £200 to repair and for that price it is "uneconomical" to go ahead with the repair as I can get better laptops for that price.

What laptops would you recommend for around £200 (new or used). Id like something with a good processor as ill be using programs such as Ableton on it.

Lenovo G50 30

I think I may go for the Lenovo G50 30
My only concern is the processor. From what I've heard the intel celeron N2840 is pretty slow.
I wont be using the laptop for gaming or anything, but I will be using multiple programs at times - should I be worried?

It's not a speedster but it works fine for run of the mill browsing, Word and such.

As to multiple programs, most just sit idle so what issue is there?
