Best budget DSLR questions

Dec 24, 2011 1:32AM PST

I am looking to purchase my first DSLR. I am torn between these three:

Canon EOS Rebel T3 12 megapixel
Nikon D3000 10 megapixel
Sony Alpha A230

These 3 cameras are in my budget and get decent reviews for a budget DSLR. What are your thoughts? Do you prefer one over another? Or is there another camera you recommend I look at?
I am looking to take really good low-light pictures, kids/family shots, and dance/sports shots both indoor & outdoor. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Which?

The Nikon D3000 and Sony A230 were introduced in mid 2009.
...The Canon T3 was introduced in 2011.
The D3000 and A230 contain older technology:

...They do hot have video capability, the T3 does.
...They use CCD sensors while the T3 uses CMOS sensors
...They do not have LiveView while the T3 does.
.....LiveView means the capability to use the LCD screen to frame your shots.
