Question

Best budget CPU for current gaming rig?

Feb 22, 2016 3:09AM PST

Specs:

Case: Phantom 410
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P.
Current CPU: AMD FX-4300.
Graphics Cards: Two R9 280x cards running crossfire.
RAM: 8 gigabytes.
Hard Drive: WD 1 TB.

I am currently looking to get a CPU (and a CPU fan) for about $250 but less if possible. I was looking at the AMD Black Edition FX-8350, but i'm not sure if I have enough clearance for the subsequent CPU fan upgrade. Thanks!

Only you can determine that depending on what cooler you pick and then do some measuring.

I hope you have some 1200w psu and some serious venting in that case.
Cpu...125w
Gpu..250w
Gpu..250w
That's serious heat.
