Best book for advises on creating an IT Network properly

Aug 29, 2016 5:28AM PDT

Hello guys,

Newbie here and I was hoping to get some guidance from you...

I've created my company some time ago and now have the need to develop the IT department.

I'm thinking about creating an internal portal for the helpdesk team plus a few other tweaks on which I believe some upgrades are needed.

Nevertheless and before that I'd like to read some book / article / tutorials on how to properly set up an IT network in a medium sized company (roughly 200 users with PCs) plus other tips which can be useful for appropriate IT configuration.

Any suggestions?

Everything is changing fast that's why my suggestion to look for a good blogs or professional websites with current posts on your theme (you can search for the article about list of the most popular blogs and websites for small business or something like that).

Anyone that is looking for the "best" on any topic is not ready for the purchase. Over the years I've worked in dozens of companies and each IT network differed from one to the next.

The IT lead, often one called the CTO or CIO would lead the company in the creation of the IT or the destruction of the IT group.

Why destruction? Sometimes the company doesn't need an IT department and moves to BYO or a cloud. I have yet to find any book cover all this.
