Best "bang for my buck" AV Receiver

I am looking for an AV Receiver that is under $300. What do you all recommend would be the best "bang for my buck".

CURRENTLY BEING PHASED OUT SONY STR-DG810, BOTH $299. Also check out

newly released ONKYOs and DENONs. Do some shopping around.........

I don't remember the closeout price for last years Onkyo 605

but it was shockingly good and for the up to date with HDMI 1.3a that was also regarded as a new level of value at the regular price. Those closeout prices got mentioned here in this forum. Find them with the search feature.
