Best Backup Utitlity

by Audreymarie / February 15, 2008 10:40 PM PST

I have Otium UtiliSync which backs up my data files either manually or auto.
I backup to an 80gb external hard drive and it works fine. But what it doesn't do is delete the files/folders which I have deleted on my laptop. Nor does it change folder names, it just make a new copy of the folder. As I am always deleting and moving files/folders around it's not really working for me. My question is this is there some software that would fulfill my needs without being to complicated? I have XP home on an Asus Laptop.

..that will do what you want. But I suggest you avoid Acronis for the time being. Their latest version, True Image 11 had some bugs previous versions did not have. Like sometimes it will run a scheduled back up, and sometimes it won't. No way to predict. I'm waiting to see if they will fix this in True Image 12, since they don't seem to be interested in fixing it in the current version.

Well thanks for trying. Perhaps I'm asking for something not yet invented.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
