I had same problem

I just got a Benq myself and had the exact same problem. I also could play music fine. I called Benq support and had them stumped also for a while, the problem was I was trying to use my existing player to try to play it, I also tried Windows MP and that didn't work. You have to use the player software that comes with it, I think mine came with a Nero suite. Open that and select DVD and there should be a "Play Video" icon.
