being disappointed with this Samsung forum

by hpygolky_64 / January 30, 2009 1:49 AM PST

On January 15/09 I started a thread about my new Samsung Tv and Samsung Blu Ray player. To this day, I have not had one single answer and to me, this does not say much about Samsung and their help forum. Will someone please tell me why I have never received an answer yet? I did call Samsung on the phone a few days after we got our equipment about the problem and was told what the problem could be. I did what I was told to do, but the problem is still there and I believe it is the Samsung tv. I would appreciate an answer as soon as possible. thank you.

Are you seeing these problems when watching cable?
How about when watching blu-ray? If you could be more
specific this will help. These cable boxes are very
quirky. Most of the time before plugging any of the
equipment in the hdmi cables need to be connected 1st.
I think most manuals tell you to do this. Hopefully
this was helpful. This stuff can be pretty frustrating.
This "plug and play" term ,i think, is overrated.

Samsung LCD TV LN40A550 and Samsung Blu Ray Player BD-P1500
by hpygolky_64 - 15/01/09 8:54 AM
My husband and I just bought both of the above one month ago. We also bought Monster cables HDMI. For the most part, we are happy with this television. It is a perfect size for our bedroom. Our question is why does it look like people's eyes are bouncing around on their face, or there are shadows on faces when they turn. It is like something is not in sync with something else. It is very annoying to me and also very disappointing. I did call Samsung after a few days of having the tv and was told that it was most likely the pvr cable box setup. I called them and they changed some things, which made it look a little better. We used Wirewize to hook up our equipment, but what they told us was not correct and we were disappointed that things didn't work properly. So I don't recommend them at all. How do we know for sure that we have hooked up all the wiring properly? I am always aware of this movement on the screen and wonder if there is something that we could adjust to make it right or should I insist that a Samsung technician come in to our home and look at it, as was suggested in the call I made. I hope we didn't get a bad Samsung television. Any answers or remarks would be greatly appreciated in this matter.

May I add this now, it doesn't seem to happen when we are watching a blu ray dvd, only while watching live tv. It looks like their eyes are moving outside of their face and their are reflections on their face that seem to move. Is this any help? Thank you so very much for answering my thread, I was quite upset as you may suspect.

We do not see this problem while watching a blu-ray movie, only while watching regular tv. Do you think possibly, it is the pvr box? Should I call our provider and ask them to check it out? Have you heard of this problem in LCD tv's before? We are new to this kind of tv and are very disappointed because Samsung was so highly recommended to us by Future Shop. Except for this problem, we love the tv. I did in fact call Samsung less than a week after we got this tv and was told by them to call the pvr provider which I did and they fixed something in the box. The problem is still there however. Any help is very much appreciated and thank you again.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
