It may not be the most current but it will edit video. I mean, look at the Blair Witch Project and what they used. It showed that there is no reason that the gear used won't mean it's not pro or such.

I have a have a 2011 macbook pro laptop. As for the specs they are as copy and pasted form my system overview:
-Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
-Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
-Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
-Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)
Is this okay for a pro level, or do I need to buy a monitor or something of the like?
