Beginner here- How do i network between- Mac/Pc

Aug 7, 2005 8:53AM PDT

Hi Beginner here!!
I have a MAC G4 OSX 10.3. I just bought a
WINDOWS PC HOME EDITION XP--> HP PAVILLION a1030e
I set up a network connecting them both to a router. The MAC is my main Computer and the PC second.I can surf the web on both . My problem is that i cannot use my printer /share files from the MAC on the PC.I turned printer/File sharing on both computers. I even did PINGING to test if both computers communicate and they do. I tried to print from the PC and my printer is not there. So i go to -->connect to printer--> then get error message--> Windows cannot connect to the pinter .Either the printer name was typed incorrectly , or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server.
What do i do??
