...shaing the homage and tribute paid to our Military on this our Memorial Day.
It'll be very interesting to see who acknowledges your post...and who doesn't.
I was out mowing when a woman walked by. I expect by now that everyone in this neighborhood knows that both me and my wife are vets, but I swear that I have never seen this woman before.
Anyway, after a short conversation, she looked at me, smiled, and thanked me for my service - the first time that's ever happened to me coming from a complete stranger.
After thanking her back, she walked down the sidewalk leaving me to remember all those who never got to mow a lawn on Memorial Day, like the ones I have seen interred quite literally all over the world.
I said a prayer for them, and then moved on to other things - all the time thankful that there are still those who get it.
