It'll be very interesting to see who acknowledges your post...and who doesn't.

An interesting thing happened today:
May 29, 2006 10:21AM PDT

I was out mowing when a woman walked by. I expect by now that everyone in this neighborhood knows that both me and my wife are vets, but I swear that I have never seen this woman before.

Anyway, after a short conversation, she looked at me, smiled, and thanked me for my service - the first time that's ever happened to me coming from a complete stranger.

After thanking her back, she walked down the sidewalk leaving me to remember all those who never got to mow a lawn on Memorial Day, like the ones I have seen interred quite literally all over the world.

I said a prayer for them, and then moved on to other things - all the time thankful that there are still those who get it.
