beeping Motherboard!

My motherboard is randomly beeping, it sucks. Im using Ubuntu 6.10. AMD 64-bit version. Dont think its the OS, since the beeping didn't start for awhile after it was installed. The LED display on the mobo shows "oc" . I went here to see what that means, but my bios isn't listed. I have Phoenix- Award bios workstation 1.3, and it isn't listed. Really need some help. The computer runs great, it just keeps randomly beeping. CPU internal temp, is around 58-60 degrees celcious. Any ideas?

Check you MB BIOS for CPU temp threshhold settings..

In reply to: beeping Motherboard!

if 'enabled', the PC will beep to indicate the CPU has reached your preset warning level.

I don't advocate turning it off or raising it too high ....check to see if the CPU HS Fan is clogged with dust bunnies before changing anything. Removing the dust will facilitate cooling.

Let us know.
