May 26, 2005 10:21AM PDT

Hey everyone,

We are introducing our new Digital Home DIY feature on CNET.com and I want to personally invite you to be one of the first to check out some of these great step-by-step guides that make home tech projects easy. And if you are already a seasoned veteran in these DIY areas, I'm welcoming you to share some of your insights or tips on some of these projects with your fellow members. So read up and be one of the first to offer your knowledge in these areas. Enjoy!

Currently there are do-it-yourself projects on:

Make the switch to HDTV
You want it. Here's how to get it. Everything from the products and cables you need to how to plug it all in. It's HDTV made easy.

Set up a home theater
A/V receivers, DVD players, surround-sound speakers. We show you how to put together all the pieces and you to make all the right connections to get the best sound and video.

Record home video
Time to ditch the VCR. Here's how to record video in the digital age using Tivo-style digital video recorders (DVR's) and DVD recorders.

Set up a wireless network
You have a number of choices to make when setting up your home wireless network, and a little planning helps to simplify things. We'll show you what gear you'll need, depending on what you want to do.

Best regards,
