Be forewarned that Samsung?s Repair Service Sucks

Jun 17, 2005 7:14AM PDT

In Sept 2004 I purchased a Samsung D415 cell phone - the handset completely discharges the batteries within 14 hours of standby mode, talk time about 5 minutes. I?ve purchased 3 batteries. It's been to Samsung Repair in Texas twice now, shipping at my expense, for average of 7 weeks per visit, average ?hold time? to speak with next customer service representative 20 minutes, etc. It?s June 17, 2005 and it STILL doesn't work.
Samsung will not repair/replace their product.

So if your Samsung cell phone works - great! If it doesn't ? you?re in for a world of frustrations because the Samsung Repair customer service process is pathetic !!

Repair issue

Just wondering, did your cellular provider refuse to fix the problem under warranty or did you buy the phone from another source? I am not trying to make an excuse for poor customer servive.

It is a Samsung Malfunctioning Product Issue

Not a T-Mobile Service Issue

T-Mobile promptly offered, and did send to send me, a ?refurbished? phone - even though it was a couple of months after my ?in store? purchase, and several additional battery purchases later. But silly me - I opted to go with Samsung fixing it (because they said they would repair it), since I knew mine hadn?t been dropped, scratched, etc. I wanted My phone fixed, and, I believed it would be a straight forward process. I ship it, you repair it, and, a fully functional phone gets returned to me. Done deal.

In hind sight, I should have kept the refurb and simply never purchased another Samsung product again.
