The Anynet design is just not right
It will turn off when you turn the TV off. I wont ever turn back on when you turn the TV on leaving you with NO sound.
You have to switch over to the BD1250 mode on your remote and manually turn it on.
I notice other home theater sets from other brands auto turn on and off.
Even the Samsung Sound bar will auto on and off.
I have the HT-BD1250 Home Theater Anynet+ on. HDMI from the BlueRay to the TV AND Fiber Optic form the 58B650 Plasma TV to the BlueRay/ReceiverAmp.
The Anynet works as it should turning the BD1250 OFF when the TV is powered off, but it never auto powers back on when the TV is powered on. This means NO sound when we turn the tV on until we also power on the BlueRay Receiver BD1250.
I have read other suggestions where we should just power on the BD1250 and that will turn on the TV, but that does not work either. Only the option as stated in the BD1250 manual where you can push PLAY works, but that turns the BD1250 on and the TV ON BUT it switches it to Blue Ray play mode, which is not what we want. We want it left in the original input mode which is Optical in for the HD DVR.
QUESTION: how do you get the TV and BD1250 to power both power on at the same time with out having to hit power twice.
My end goal is to use a DirecTV universal remote. It can auto power on either the TV or receiver when the Sat is powered on with the remote.
Here is a similar post, but I don't thick they got it working either.
