I don't know how the switch is going to affect the configuration. What I can't figure out, however, is this: Are you trying to use the switch to send video to one source and audio to another?
I'm not sure what you mean when you say that you see the dvd/cd option switch - is that on the HT system, or the switch?

I have a samsung projector hooked up to a hdmi switch for extra ports. I have my BD-P4600 bluray players hooked up via hdmi to the switch. I also have my ht-x810 surround sound hooked up to my switch via hdmi as well.
Now in order to get sound since the projector does not have any speakers I ran the audio composite to the bluray player to get sound.
When I try to play the bluray player it plays for 3 seconds then stop and during that time I see the dvd/cd option switch on the surround sound turn on and it attempts to play the dvd.
However when I remove the hdmi cable that goes to the surround sound system everything works like normal. So my question is how can I get these two systems to play nice with each other?
