BD-P1600 without netflix

Dec 17, 2011 8:39AM PST

I have had this blu ray player (BD P1600) for over 2 years and today I finally bought the wireless network adapter and upgraded the firmware, but all I got out of it was youtube. I was wondering how I can get netflix onto the blu ray player?

Be sure to ask Netflix Canada if they plan to add this player.

Netflix decides to write a version for these. Not Samsung. Be sure to ask both companies for this.

Netflix for BD-P1600XAC?
May 16, 2012 3:21PM PDT

I too bought the Samsung lan stick thinking that with a new firmware upgrade that my existing BD-P1600XAC would finally get Netflix..nope. All I have available is the YouTube access & can't seem to get answers on how or what to do (other than toss out player) to get Netflix...or even if this option or upgrade is available on this model of blu-ray player...does anyone have answers on this...much appreciated.

rbyskal,

Glad to have you drop by. But just so you know, this forum is meant to mainly support US products and customers. And from what I can tell, this model is for Canada. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So while I can't help you directly, if you want Samsung help, here's the Samsung Canada portal for support on that product: http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/model/BD-P1600/XAC

If you contact them, they'll be able to give you an authoritative answer. Hope this helps you!
