ninethirteen,
I'm stumped on this one. I've tried to put together the streaming portion + the subtitles scenarios together, and I can't figure out why it wouldn't show. You noted that the subtitles are visible when you rewind, but not when the moving is playing. I don't have an answer, but I've sent an inquiry to Netflix. Maybe they can offer some insight.
It may not even be an issue on their end, but it's worth asking.

I apologize if this has been addressed before. I searched the forums but couldn't find anything close to this. I have a Samsung BD-p1600 and a Pansonic Viera plasma. I started streaming movies from Netflix, but I noticed something unusual last night. This documentary had a few scenes with foreign language so there should have been subtitles, but there were none. I thought maybe they were cut off on the bottom but that is not the case either-even the names of people being interviewed (about mid-screen) are missing too. However, when you pause and rewind you get 'thumbnails' of the scenes as you go through. The subtitles are visible there, but not on the screen. It seems any text that accompanied the film was missing. I have watched other foreign films with no problem. It just seems to be this one...any ideas?
