have you shared your internet connection with other computers?
Go to the local area network connection that accesses the internet and go to properties. Then select "Sharing". Make sure you allow other computers to connect to the internet through your computer.
I have the same blu-ray player with the latest firmware update.
I just bought the BD-P1500 today and my first unit wouldn't connect to the internet after updating the firmware. I took it back and swapped. Now the second one won't connect even though I skipped the firmware update. My network is setup for automatic settings and the blu-ray is setup on a wired ethernet connection. Everything else on my network works, I can ping the blu-ray from the computer, and the first one worked just by plugging it in. The second one, I plugged it right in and tried to setup my Netflix and it won't connect. It fails the Network Connection test on the step for IP, Subnet, and Gateway. Please help.
