BD 3600 FIRMWARE 2.03 STREAMING ISSUE

by acarrera79 / September 17, 2009 11:52 AM PDT

Well, after upgrading to firmware 2.02 I started loosing my wireless connection every ten minutes or so. Now I've installed the 2.03 firmware with the same issue. I've done a full reset and left the thing unplugged for more than 15 minutes and I still have the same issue.

If I go in and reselect my wireless access point the thing will reconnect. The same if I turn it off and back on.

I've now talked to five different Samsung reps and gotten numerous stories - including being hung up on once after I had to repeatedly tell the rep that I had fully reset the system.

SAMSUNG - what is going on? Is this problem going to be resolved? The rep who hung up on my told me that trying to go back to the old firmware might cause the unit to die. ALL I WANT IS FOR MY $400 BLU-RAY PLAYER TO DO WHAT I PURCHASED IT FOR!!!

acarrera79,

What part of the streaming cuts out? Is it a specific widget or is it cutting out in general?

What message are you receiving?

Download 1.03 090528 USB version. It works, they have closed the thread that addresed the problems with 2.04. Call to support is worthless, much misinformation and denials. I still use my player with the old firmware. I don't have any probs with v1.03 just doesn't have blockbuster or youtube (who cares). Pandora was for me and they broke many things with their FW updates. I'm sure the big Samsung will fix all probs someday. Waiting for that day. What say hd-techguy or whoever you are now. the guy that justified firing the girl that helped so many with the last disastrous FW (2.o4) update. Too late to return to BB so will stick it out and wait till they get it right with FW that is tested and works. I doubt you will see that here. based on my experience here.

BD 3600 problems

I use mine for Netflix and Blu-Ray, Netflix stops at least once during streaming, sometimes more and I have to start over again. When I called Samsung, I was told it has to do with my internet connection. On the other hand, loading a Blu-Ray disk can take several minutes, with the screen going blank periodically. I think it is the player! will an upgrade help to eliminate those problems?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
