Battle of PMP's (Zune v iPod v Creative)

Aug 4, 2009 2:35PM PDT

I decided to post this to get some feed back to help me with my decision for my PMP upgrade from an ipod touch 16 gig (i need more space). I was wondering what you feel is the strongest PMP in terms of software (OS/UI and applications), hardware, and features. The PMP's i'm looking at are the upcoming Zune HD, iPod Touch 3G, and Creative Zii. In terms of software i think it's close between all of them, with the ipod's massive appstore, creative's multi-platform support including android, and the Zune HD which is rumored to take advantage of XNA, Xbox 360 integration, use windows mobile 7 apps, and can use iPhone apps with a direct conversion. (i'm leaning towards zune here, but the possibility of the zii running other Os's is tempting) As for hardware, not much is known about the iPod Touch 3G except for a rumored OLED and the same specs as the 3GS in which case it comes down to Tegra vs ZMS-05. Since there are no direct comparisons i feel that it could go either way. As for features, I don't think the iPod stands a chance with the Zune supporting HD Radio, Social, and HD output (as does creative) (They all have a browser). This is of course based mostly on rumors especially with the ipod. It is obvious i am favoring the Zune here, should i rethink my plans to purchase one?
