Feb 11, 2011 7:05PM PST

Hi All!!
Considering to download /install BatteryCare 0.9.8.3 but in User Reviews comments I have read that unless you get the paid version it is not usable... as well as that once Installed forbids you to uninstall, whereas in User Reviews it is promoted as the best performing software of its kind.
Appreciate if you can let me know what to beleive.
Thanks a lot.
Andre

Just based on the name

Just based on the name alone, it sounds like a completely useless program. I'm assuming it's some kind of laptop battery life extending program, which is up there with registry programs and defragmenting programs as snake oil scams. Don't waste your time or money, since anything this program claims to do, you could do yourself for free.

Hi Jimmy!!
All I want to do is find out what is the condition of my battery since it is
allmost 3 and a half years old.
Presently it behaves allright but it can last for limitted time not more
than one and a half hours,
How can I check it out??
Thanks a lot.

At 3.5 years don't do a thing.

If a battery works at that age, do not do a thing. Folk can kill an old battery with bad advice such as "conditioning", "running it down to zero" and changing to some battery minding app.

It's well beyond the rated life so what ever you do, do nothing.

Like Bob said

Like Bob said, if it's still working after that long, count yourself extraordinarily lucky and hope that your luck continues. That battery should have failed about 2-2.5 years ago. Just ride the wave as long as it lasts.

You are LUCKY!!!

Mine usually start failing at around 18 to 20 months (and some a little coloser to 12 months). By failing, I mean that a full charge only lasts about half as long as it originally did.

As the others indicate, consider yourself lucky and do not change a thing! Skip any "monitoring" other than whatever native monitoring you have already been using.

will not change a thing

I will keep on doing nothing until eventually I will have to replace the battery.
