Battery issues anyone?

Aug 6, 2010 1:26PM PDT

A month ago or so I had an iPhone 3G which I had owned for a year or more previously. I downloaded iOS4 and began to have battery issues... Much shorter battery life.
I took it to the local Apple Store on June 30 and got a new 3G. I took that one back on July 2nd for the same issue. It wouldn't hold a charge. Got a new phone. I took that back on the 4th and got a new phone. Same issues continued.
In the meantime I ordered the iPhone 4. I got that on July 6th. Same issues. I took that one in a few days later. Got a new phone. And I took that one in several days later. Same issues.
I have spoken with three Apple reps including a "senior tech advisor" who don't know what's wrong. They keep sending me back to the store to get new phones.
Since I'm traveling now, I've not had time to either call or go back to the Apple Store. And since I have the same issues (4 maybe 5 hours of battery life at all, even with EVERYTHING turned off), I probably will begin another round of calling and visiting the Apple Store.
Any ideas? Any help out there? I'm a 23 year customer of Apple and would hate to leave over this...
