I have a Toshiba Tecra M3 which was a replacement for a Tecra M2. A couple of months after receiving it I used it off the cable and found the battery only lasted 1hr40min. This surprised me as my old laptop's battery lasted 3hr45. Sure enough when I checked the M3's specs online it said 3-4hrs.
I contacted Toshiba who originally intended to fit a new battery by a professional but the person concerned didn't have one in stock. They never contacted me again and Toshiba HQ thought it was solved.
Attempt two they just mailed me the new battery. So I tested it and that too only lasts 1hr30. So presumeably it's an issue with the software. A friend suggested editing the BIOS but I wouldn't have a clue how to do that.
Thanks for any help.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
