battery dies

May 11, 2015 9:53PM PDT

My Galaxy 3 shows a 100% charge yet when it gets to say 50% it dies and I have to completely charge it again
Was told by Verizon that Samsung did an "upgrade" and that this affects a lot of phones and Notes
Any solution ??

I suspect....

...that due to the age of the phone the battery needs to be replaced. I don't think a software fix would solve anything in this case. This phone model is at least 2-3 years old by now.

A recap.

Most devices have a 300 cycle battery so in one to two years the battery is gone and does odd things like this. Consumers are not willing to understand and don't want to know this. Proof? Just read the posts on battery hours and more.
