I just purchased a canon a-60 and the batteries need replacing already.

Do you advice buying rechargable batteries, over the regular one.

Thanks,

Betty

I have a Cannon A85 and it uses a lot of "juice". If you upload to your computer direct from the camera you will find it uses even more.
I bought eight rechargeable (plus charger) and keep four in the camera and four in reserve.
I guess I could keep buying regular batteries as they are readily available but I like the convenience of rechargeable.
You can conserve a lot of energy by using the optical view finder. You can also save energy by viewing pictures judiciously. However that's no fun. If you are like me you bought the camera to enjoy all of its features.
It would be redundant of me to say "enjoy your camera" as I am sure you will.

Betty, In addition to rechargeable batteries I use a card reader to transfer my pictures to my computer. Using the camera to do this really eats up batteries. The link below has excellent prices on rechargeable batteries and chargers and their service is fantastic.

I am not affiliated with batteryspace but I highly recommend them.

Rechargeable Batteries

Betty: You can pick up rechargeable batteries at your local K-Mart or Wal-Mart. Be sure to check the MAH rating before your buy. It will be printed on the pkg. as well as on the battery. While any of the NICH batteries should work, the higher MAH rating gives more hours of service. I've been using the same ones for about two years (MAH 2200)and they're still going strong.
Best of Luck
