Barack Obama in the news!

For real.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=83760

Since arresting Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald has renewed interest in convicted fundraiser Tony Rezko's part in the purchase of Barack Obama's Chicago mansion, according to a former real estate analyst who says he was interviewed by the federal prosecutor in the past 10 days.

Kenneth J. Conner told WND he was interviewed by investigators from Fitzgerald's office regarding the purchase of the Obama mansion and the adjacent vacant lot that Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased simultaneously. As WND reported last week, Conner filed a civil complaint in October with the Illinois Circuit Court in Cook County alleging he was fired by Mutual Bank of Harvey, Ill., because he objected to land appraisals submitted on behalf of the Rezkos and the Obamas, with the complicity of the bank.

Conner previously confirmed to WND that he told the FBI, months ago, when he initially was fired, that the bank and the Rezkos were engaged in "fraud, bribes or kickbacks, use whatever term you want," to benefit the Obamas.

Conner said his lawyer, Glenn R. Gaffney, also has been interviewed by the FBI about the Rezko-Obama deal within the past 10 days.

What will happen if the President-Elect is arrested before the Inaugural?

(NT) He IS the news!

What will happen if the President-Elect is arrested

He will be cuffed, paraded doing the "perp walk", appear before a judge, enter a Not Guilty plea, deny all guilt, attend Inauguration Ceremonies, take over from President Bush.

I love the use of the term "mansion"

I have seen pictures of his Chicago house. It is a nice house that is of an older, grand style, but it does not strike me as being a mansion, no matter what the inflated property price comes in at.

The ones who might have a better reason

..... to look over their shoulder are the ones who publish such on a pseudo-news site.

As that is obviously an ant-Obama site, whoever is behind it might find themselves on a Secret Service or FBI watch list.

Like porn, they can't be prosecuted for what they post on the 'net. But they can be watched as it feeds into the concerted efforts to not have Obama take office, or not remain there after inauguration. In that there are charges.

Wow!!

Just a little over sensitive about your guy, eh?

- Collapse -
Seriously?

Not too paranoid are we?

What evidence do you have that it is a "pseudo news site" or an anti-Obama site?

This IS still the United States of Americqa I hope. Sheeesh.

BTW, I have no desire to have Obama prevented....

from taking office. Think I want to see Biden in there? That would be a disaster. But it would be nice to see the truth win out.

I don't believe the Obama Administration will be as fascistic as you seem to think.

The truth...

I understand how you feel. After eight years of almost constant lies, I hope we finally will hear the truth!

RE: anti-Obama site?

WorldNetDaily is a for-profit website that provides primarily evangelical-conservative-oriented news and editorials,

As of November 8, 2006, it is listed by Alexa as the most popular website in the "Conservatism > News and Media" category

Is Obama "Conservative"?

- Collapse -
Yes, seriously

There were complaints that critical comments about the Iraq War and the administration's handling of it. That brought accusations that these helped the enemy.

So-called "news" stories that raise questions as to the possible illegal activities by the president -elect, doubts as to his citizenship, etc. can also help the enemy as it makes him look weak in the eyes of Americans. This would make it more likely that he would be considered a vulnerable target. as well as our borders.

Just where do you think Homeland Security, The Secret Service, and other agencies look for possible avenues of danger? The internet is one place to monitor.

It helped the enemy with the War. No difference here.

Wow. Total misunderstanding of the world around us.

So, by your theory, ALL criticism of the ONE should be illegal? No matter what he does?

That fits in with the general adoration.

Any more "evidence"?

ALL criticism of the ONE should be illegal

Never heard those words from you when complaints were made about
President Bush and Iraq.

Why? (general adoration)

Any more "evidence"?

Have you got any evidence of YOU standing up for "free speech" when someone criticized President Bush?

Obama has already shown, on at least two occasions, that he

has a lot to learn about the world stage. It's hard to see how critics can do more damage than he has already done.

It's too bad that your comments did not come when President Bush was being unceasingly attacked in this very forum. Did this weaken President Bush? Did it make President Bush look like a vulnerable target? Did it help the enemy in time of war? Why were you silent then, but are making these comments now?

Really, when I think....

of all the vile things, the sludge and lies spread here every day about George Bush... and then to hint that one should be watched and investigated for publishing a TRUE account about an investigation of Obama's dealngs...

Truly, it is madness.

Booing the Dodgers, Angeline...

Angeline, let me relate a story about WWII. An Admiral once noticed people under his command booing that command's baseball team in a game with another command and the next day issued an order that this booing of the "home" team was to stop. The next day when he got to his desk he found a magazine picture and caption in a why we fight series that the magazine was doing. The picture showed GIs booing in a game, and the caption read We're fighting for the right to boo the Dodgers. The Admiral instantly got it and his order was canceled. Angeline, do you understand why?
I'm one of those people who volunteered to fight in the military. There are many reasons why people chose to serve, but I wish to address one of those reasons now. In America, we have rights and privileges that many people in other countries do not have. I think that defending those rights is a worthwhile thing to do.
One of those rights free speech, and sometimes the choice is to criticize someone or some thing. This can include politicians or something that they may have done. Crudely put - Americans, civilian or military, bi*ch about things they don't like.
On Veterans Day you have made posts about honoring Veterans. Angeline, one of the things they fought for, and still fight for, is the right of Free Speech. That's the right to "boo" not only the Dodgers but even politicians.
Yes, I've read past posts about this Forum being the property of a company and how that can have an effect on Free Speech, but I'm going to say something you may not like. My opinion may cause this to be deleted, but I think it's time to say it anyway. You might delete it, as you have the power, but sometimes you have to confront an injustice even when you know that the force you face can easily stomp you down. Perhaps it's something that the military instilled into me, confronting an injustice in the face of assured opposition and possibly destruction.
Angeline, In the military, I fought for, among other things, Free Speech. It was a fight well worth fighting. So if you delete posts that don't agree with your political views, you have that power. But on Veterans Day, spare me the line about honoring our Veterans, when you destroy the Free Speech for which so many Veterans have fought for because that particular speech is not your view you dishonor those same Veterans.
That's my opinion opinion and I have stated it. I have stood in the open and done so and if you decide to "put a delete bullet" through its eyes, so be it.

Careful Ed,

Vee vil haf no dizzent !!!

Any criticism of the ONE is "anti-Obamism"

- Collapse -
This is one of those stories that did not get much

attention prior to the election. It sounds so familiar when you live in Chicago. If you are connected, you are cut in on the lucrative deals and other benefits. Governor Rod is simply the latest to be caught saying the wrong things in the wrong place at the wrong time. Notice the attempt to distance Obama from some of the deals now being reported.

If they didn't get the Clintons on White Water...

....do you really expect them to "get" THE ONE, Obama on how he financed his home?
