As to priority, many older router priority systems just don't work. Let's hear more about that router.
Also, if you are connecting over WiFi, the pollution of the channels can clog up the works and it doesn't have to be someone on your WiFi network. Imagine if this was your WiFi air space -> https://lh4.ggpht.com/2yVUnQuDeh5u4yoYEM7UGM_itfO3fUxMGRM7SpqMvx8jkL1mSGVIOZ99C3tHXY1TbkY_=h900

Over the past six months I have been having trouble with my internet streaming, specifically when I play Xbox online or when I'm watching Netflix, HBO, Youtube, etc, and it doesn't matter what TV or device I'm on. The only time this occurs is when my tech savvy roommate is on his personal TV in his room.
At first I just thought maybe my Xbox, phone, or computer wasn't taking priority, but last night I saw a separate access point with his name pop up when I restarted the modem and then quickly disappeared again.
I'm almost positive this has something to do with me not being able to stream the high speed internet I pay for. Am I right or am I wrong?
