Let's see if there is a clue in who wrote such?
Safari browser - Apple.
Internet Explorer - Microsoft.
Netscape Navigator - Various coders at ???.
For a Macintosh, who would have the edge?
I am a Mac OS X 10.3 user with cable access. When I check my access speed with the Bandwidth Meter I get amazingly different results depending on the browser that I use to contact CNET. For example, if I log on to the meter using my Safari browser I find I am getting an amazing 4500+ KBS report. With Internet Explorer at the same time I may get a report of 1800 KPS, and with Netscape Navigator I may get a report of 1350KPS. Don;t know which to believe, if any, nor why browsers would affect the meter report.
